How do you find a leak without tearing up the floor?
We use a combination of electronic line tracing, acoustic listening devices that hear water moving behind concrete or drywall, thermal imaging cameras that detect temperature differences caused by water, and pressure isolation testing. In most cases we pinpoint the leak location to within inches before we cut anything.
What are the signs of a slab leak?
Warm or damp spots on your floor, sudden spike in water bill, the sound of water running when nothing is on, mildew smell, cracks in drywall or flooring, low water pressure, or a water meter that keeps turning when every fixture is off. Any one of these is worth a call; two or more and you probably have a slab leak.
How much does leak detection cost?
It depends on the size of the home and how the plumbing is run, but we quote the detection price upfront before we start. If we find the leak and you choose us for the repair, we'll often credit the detection fee toward the repair. We'll walk you through it on the phone or on-site.
Can you repair a slab leak without jackhammering?
Sometimes. Depending on the leak location and your home's layout, we can re-route the affected line above the slab, which avoids breaking concrete entirely. When a spot repair makes more sense, we open only the area we need, repair the pipe, and patch the slab cleanly. We'll explain both options and the trade-offs before you decide.
How quickly can you come out?
Most leak-detection calls during business hours get same-day service. After-hours and weekend appointments are available. We'll give you a specific arrival window and your tech will text you when they're on the way.
