Should I repair or replace my AC?
If your system is 15+ years old, uses R-22 refrigerant, or the repair costs more than half the price of a new system, replacement usually makes more financial sense. An eight-year-old system that needs a $400 electrical part is a repair, not a replacement, and we'll tell you so.
