Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a media filter and standard filter?

Media filters are 4-5" thick with much more surface area than 1" filters. They capture more particles, restrict airflow less, and last 6-12 months instead of 1 month.

Will a better filter help with my allergies?

Yes, upgrading to MERV 11-13 filtration captures pollen, pet dander, dust mites, and mold spores that trigger allergies. Many allergy sufferers notice significant improvement.

Can any HVAC system use a media filter?

Most systems can accommodate a media filter cabinet. We evaluate your system to ensure it can handle the airflow characteristics of higher-efficiency filtration.

Is a HEPA filter worth the extra cost?

HEPA filtration is overkill for most homes. MERV 11-13 captures the vast majority of allergens. HEPA makes sense for severe allergies, immunocompromised individuals, or medical requirements.
