The Trane Premier 18 gas system pairs a variable-speed air conditioner (formerly the XV18) with a compatible Trane gas furnace. The AC side uses the same continuously variable inverter compressor as the heat pump version, delivering whisper-quiet cooling, perfectly even temperatures, and the lowest energy bills of any Trane split system.
When paired with a communicating gas furnace and ComfortLink II thermostat, the entire system works together digitally for optimized performance and self-diagnostics. As XV Certified Dealers, we're specifically trained on installing this system for maximum performance.

Previously sold as the XV18 AC with model numbers starting with 4TTV8 (R-410A). Current models use the 5TTV8 prefix with R-454B refrigerant. Variable-speed performance is identical.
